The SelfTest guide recommends to take the real exam only when you are able to answer 100% of questions correctly. There are about 400 of them – I did not believe it was possible to achieve the 100% mark. But after a few weeks of brief but regular practice – I did it easily.
The “Randomize you answer choices” option in Preferences (off by default) helped a lot too.
I began my exam with a Jedi mind trick: dumped the lock cheat sheet (which was very easy to memorize) on an erasable notepad.
That helped me to concentrate and made me feel more confident. IMHO, having a legal cheat sheet on a test is always exciting.
Too bad I didn’t get many questions on locking.
